Build a Jenny Wiley

Dulcimer Stand

This kit is easy to build . . . . .

1.    Let begin by connecting the three legs with the ¼ in bolt:

2.    Next, attach the 9” cross member 7 inches from the top of the stand:

3.    Not attach the 10” cross member 14.5 inches from the top of the stand:

4.    Insert the brass cup holders:

5.    Attach the length of chain and gently “squeeze” the cup holders together to hold the chain in place:

6.    Build the Arms.

a.     Sand the 3 ½ inch long (½ X ½ square) arms (there is four of them)

b.    Sand the four 3/8” diameter dowel pieces.

c.     Put a drop of glue in the 3/8” holes in the arms and insert the dowells.

d.    Let them dry a few hours.

7.    Adjust the arms in their slides until they cradle your dulcimer.  This is what makes this stand so revolutionary.  It can be adjusted to fit practically every dulcimer on the market today.  This picture is the adjustment needed for my dulcimer.  You have the freedom to position the arms however needed to fit your instrument.
