Use a “thin” piece of wood to assist you  with installing the bushings.

Now we are going to pre-drill the small holes for the little screws used to fasten the geared tuners.  Position the tuners with the “worm gear” toward the finished end of the Peghead.

After you mark all eight screw positions (4 on each side of the Peghead)  - - use a very small drill bit to pre-drill the holes for the very small fastening screws used to secure the geared tuners.
